How to deal with lazy people at work?

Questioner : My nature is such that I cannot tolerate wrong things and therefore anger happens continuously.

Dadashri : Who decides and judges that it is wrong?

Questioner : I do as much as my intellect shows.

Dadashri : Yes, that much judgment and justice prevails.

Questioner : But if I am paying twenty- five rupees per day to a person and if he is hardly doing work worth five rupees then will I not feel that this is not right?

Dadashri : But why is he not doing his work? What is the reason that he is not doing work?

Questioner : It is because of his lazy nature.

Dadashri : Everybody may be getting this kind of people to work for them?

Questioner : How can I say that everybody is getting such people?

Dadashri : So why did you only encounter such a person to work for you? There must be a reason for this, isn't it?

Questioner : My previous karma must be like that, that is why he met me.

Dadashri : So then what is his fault? So then what is the reason to get mad at him? You should get mad at yourself that, "brother, what kind of karma 'I' have bound that I got such a person?" One's weakness will hurt the self only. 'Fault is of the sufferer.' He does not work and you become angry, so then you feel the hurt, so it is your mistake. He will remain as he is, he will do the same thing tomorrow and on top of that he will mimic you. As you turn around he will make a fun of you, he will say, 'this guy is crazy, forget him!'

Questioner : So I should sit with him and explain to him that, 'why it is not possible for you to do this much work? See how much more the other people are doing.' And if he does not know then I can teach him, should I do like that?

Dadashri : Yes, you should explain him in such a way that he can understand and he will feel encouraged to do that work.

Non violence

Ahimsa  (Non violence) is to maintain the awareness of not hurting any living being, even to the slightest degree, through one's mind, speech and actions. When this principle remains firm in your conviction and awareness then progress will occur in spiritulaity.
If one does not understand what constitutes the entire spectrum of ahimsatowards living beings, beginning with the visible to the subtlest, such as life-forms present in the air and water, and if one does not understand intent-violence (violence through inner intent which creates new karma) and intent-death (the ultimate of all violence: violence against the self), then whateverahimsa one practices, will be in vain. One will be stuck at the level of mere words and gross mechanical actions.
Find more about violence (Himsa) and non-violence (Ahimsa), from the gross to the subtlest levels as exposed by the Gnani Purush (Spiritual Scientist) himself.
This read will, without doubt, serve as a very useful guide for those who want to practice Non-Violence (Ahimsa) and desire liberation...

Help others - The Purpose of Life

The purpose of human life is to use the mind, body and speech for the helping others. Research indicates that those who consistently help other people experience less stress, enjoy higher levels of mental health, feel more connected to your spirit, feel more grateful for what you have  and less invested in the 'rat race' that causes stress for so many of us.
The deepest science behind this is that when one uses his mind, speech and body for serving others, he will have everything; he would never be short of material comforts and worldly happiness. Religion begins with an obliging nature. Happiness begins from the moment you do something for others.
The purpose of human life is to break this bondage of life after life and for attaining eternal liberation (moksha) from bondage of karma. It is for the purpose of becoming 'Absolute'-fully enlightened; to acquire Self-realization. And if one does not get the opportunity to attain the knowledge of Self-realization, then he should live for others.
Dadashri's main goal in life was to give happiness to all who met him. He never thought about his own happiness. He was always looking for ways to ease other people's miseries. That is the reason compassion and the extraordinary, divine, spiritual science of "Akram Vignan" manifested within him.
In this compilation, Dadashri has given many comprehensive explanations of unfailing methods for one to fulfil life's goal through serving and helping others. Eternal happiness however is only attained through Self-realization.

Try It Yourself

Questioner : I feel lot of pain when I see people's sufferings and miseries. What can I do Dada ? Please advice.
Dadashri : After Self-Realization, you will not feel pain upon seeing the misery of others, rather you will remain compassionate and their suffering will lessen. At the moment, what you experience for others is sympathy. That sympathy will always cause you pain because it torments you with what you imagine the other person must be feeling. Where there is sympathy (daya), there is always the ego. However, without sympathy (daya), the relative-self (prakruti) would not do any service. After Self-Realization, you will have compassion (karuna).

What is Gnan Vidhi?

First, let us say what Gnan Vidhi is not.

It is not a physical or metaphysical experience. It is not shaktipat. It is not an out-of-body experience or cosmic consciousness. It is not about becoming a light being or having ecstatic states of consciousness. These are all experiences of the relative self and are, by nature, temporary.

In the Gnan Vidhi, the belief that “I am this body-mind complex” is destroyed at subtlest level of the ego and the right belief that ‘I am Pure Soul’ is established. This happens as the clouds or veils of ignorance that cover the true, pure Self are destroyed. However the subtle and gross ego persist and are dissolved as one follows the Gnani’s instructions. The conviction ‘I am the pure Soul’ will persist and blossom into awareness provided the seeker follows the instructions of the Gnani.

This Grace is imparted by a Gnani Purush, the one who is totally liberated from all worldly attachment and totally free of the human weaknesses of anger, pride, greed and deceit. He is not only Self-realized, but has spiritual presence and the power to awaken the Self in others.

Gnan Vidhi came through Shri Ambalal Patel, known as Dadashri, the original Gnani Purush of Akram Vignan. Although he is no longer living, this process of gracing seekers with Self realization continues today through Pujya Deepakbhai Desai.

Very rarely does one come across this path and it is indeed a tremendous wonder that it has surfaced in our time.

What is Liberation?

Liberation is attained in two stages. In the first stage, which is attained in the Gnan Vidhi, the identification with the body-mind-ego complex is destroyed. The result is that worldly suffering does not affect or touch You, the true Self. Ignorance is dispelled and true knowledge of the Self is attained.

The final stage of liberation is attained when there is no trace of the human weaknesses of anger, pride, greed and deceit. This happens to those who receive this Gnan vidhi as they follow the five spiritual directives or instructions, called The Five Agnas, that are given by the Gnani Purush. Here there is both freedom from ignorance and freedom from all karmas. One is freed from the infinite cycle of birth and death.

Liberation, Self Realization by Akram Path

Traditionally, we are familiar with the concept that ultimate freedom or Self realization can be attained step-by-step through many years or even lifetimes of practicing meditation, mantras, yoga, etc.

Now, on the other hand, Self-realization can be attained through the non-traditional path of Akram Vignan, the science without steps. The Akram Vignan path begins by receiving Gnan Vidhi, a scientific process in which the seeker is given the knowledge and understanding of the inherent qualities of the true Self, the Pure Soul.

The Gnan Vidhi Ceremony

The Gnan Vidhi is given in 48 minutes wherein the seeker loudly repeats after the Gnani the sentences of the Science of Separation, which separates the Self (Pure Soul) and the non-Self (ego/intellect).

In this ceremony, the ignorance that has bound one for infinite lives is dissipated by the Gnani Purush. When separation happens during the Gnan Vidhi ceremony, an internal awareness of who you truly are is established within you. Right now, you are aware of yourself as being "your name” (e.g., James). After the vidhi, you become aware that you are a Pure Soul. The Self remains separate from James. The conviction “I am Pure Soul” is permanent.

This Knowledge is not the knowledge of the scriptures. What we know and have learned from scriptures is kept as information in the intellect. This new Knowledge is direct experiential Knowledge of the Self. It permeates every cell. This is the absolute Knowledge of all enlightened beings and is being imparted to you by a Gnani Purush. This Knowledge leads to liberation; in this simple ceremony, the Gnani plants the seed of ultimate liberation.

In the Gnan Vidhi, a conviction that I am a Pure Soul is established. This is like entering from total darkness of ignorance to the first day of the moon of Self-realization. As one deepens one’s understanding of the Akram Science and applies it to daily life interactions, this conviction increases to awareness and finally continuous experience of the Self, which is the full moon of Self-realization. After receiving Gnan Vidhi, if one does not try to understand the Akram Science, one will not reap the full benefit.

Many who receive Gnan are immediately and permanently transformed. For others it may take longer to realize the full benefit. All will continue to increase their awareness and experience by following the Five Agnas, spiritual directives or instructions given by the Gnani Purush. The seed of Gnan is the right inner vision, the right belief and the conviction that “I am Pure Soul.” With this vision one is able to ‘see’ pure Soul in all living beings. This is not a concept, but living truth that will be with You always.

Immediately following the Gnan Vidhi with Pujya Deepakbhai, you may realize:

  1. A conviction is established that “I am Pure Soul.”

  2. Wrong beliefs arising from ignorance leave. Your inner weaknesses of anger greed pride and deceit gradually decrease and your experience of bliss of the Self increases.

  3. Doership and worries decrease because there is a right understanding of who is the real doer is.

  4. One will see his own faults instead of seeing the faults of others. This results in inner peace and harmony in life.

  5. One will feel moved to ask for forgiveness for one’s mistakes.

  6. There is realization that one’s Pure Soul is absolutely free and pure regardless of the weaknesses of the body-mind-ego complex.

Even after you have experienced the above, attending the direct satsang sessions with Pujya Deepakbhai is critical, whenever possible. Also, continuous exposure to Dadashri’s books and attending local satsang in your area will deepen your awareness and direct experience.

For the seeker who has received Gnan Vidhi, there is a support system (webmaster@dadabhagwan.org or Contact Us) for continued education and exact understanding that will help those who are committed to progressing on this path.

What if I do not experience anything after the Gnan Vidhi?

If you do not experience any one of the above after the Gnan Vidhi and have some doubts and questions, then it is recommended that you clear all of them directly with Pujya Deepakbhai. After this you may be advised to sit in the Gnan Vidhi again; many have benefited by sitting in the Gnan Vidhi a second or even third time.

Liberation From Anger

Anger is a weakness but people think of it as strength. The person who does not display anger has more inner strength than the one who displays it. One usually becomes angry when things do not go his way, or when the other person does not understand him or when there is a difference of viewpoint. Many a time we become angry when we are accused of being wrong when we think we are right. We think that we are right because of our perception, and the other person thinks that he is right. Often, it is when we have no idea of what to do next, have no foresight or intuition, that we become angry. We become angry when we are insulted, incur a loss, protecting our pride or greed. If one is to become free from pride and greed, one needs to have awareness. What happens if the servant were to break a china tea set? If your son-inlaw were to do the same thing, would you not control your anger? Therefore, it is dependant on circumstances.

Anger can only disappear if one understands that if someone ruins him, that person is merely a nimit (person instrumental in delivering the effects of his past karma) and that what one is experiencing is the result of his past life’s karma. We should be aware whenever and wherever we experience anger. When someone is hurt by our anger, we should repent and ask for their forgiveness and resolve never to get angry again. We must do this because the person we become angry towards will be hurt and will harbor a grudge and bind vengeance against us, so that in our next life we will have to suffer the consequences. When parents become angry with their children and when a guru becomes angry with his disciples, they bind punya (merit karma). This is because their aim is to improve their children and disciples respectively. If one were to do it for selfish reasons then he would bind paap (bad karma). This is the teaching of the Enlightened Ones. Anger, the subject dealt with in this article, is the most troublesome and overt of all inner human weaknesses. It is discussed extensively for clear understanding. It is our sincere hope that the readers will find this helpful in their endeavor to free themselves from the severe grip of anger.

Inner Peace

What can give you everlasting inner peace from Money?, Fame?, Success?, Support of Family?, Love?, Comfort?, Truth?, Honesty?, Rituals? We follow good or bad ways to achieve all of these things……Do you think all this can lie with you forever and bring inner peace?

Everlasting Inner Peace can be achieved from an everlasting thing….. The only everlasting thing in this world is your own soul. Achieving the constant awareness of your soul will bring inner peace throughout your life.

The Gnani Purush (enlightened one) says in order to attain inner peace; you have to first know your true Self. The Self can only be known when the Gnani Purush graces you with Self realization. The Soul is the true Self. The Soul itself is peace and inner bliss.

Generally for inner peace people set out to control and still the mind. The Gnani says the mind is not a thing that can be controlled. The mind by nature is restless; it is physical and it is like a machine. So how can you still and control that which by nature is restless? There is inner peace only when you come into your own natural Self.

As far as the mind is concerned, in order to understand it, you have to know its true nature. The mind can only be contained through Gnan; knowledge of the real Self. When you realize your true Self, you become enlightened. The mind will only submit to a Gnani i.e. to the one who is Self realized. A Self realized person has the experience of being separate from the physical complex of the mind, body and speech. This physical complex is the relative self and it is inanimate. The real Self, the Soul is sentient, eternal and omniscient. Knowledge is active; it has the power to keep the Self and the non-Self separate.

After Self realizatopn all activities of the non-self complex will continue as before but because of your awareness of being the real Self, you will be able to remain separate from inner turmoil of worries and anxieties. The universal knowledge the Gnani gives you will come into your experience as you follow his five major directives and other axioms like ‘Adjust everywhere’, ‘Avoid conflicts’, ‘Whatever happens is justice’ and ‘Fault is of the sufferer’. Thousands of people who have attained Self realized are testimonials to the inner peace they feel by simply remaining within the realm of their real Self. The Knowledge of the Self has the power to keep one in inner peace amidst all trials and tribulations. His inner enemies of anger, pride, deceit, greed, attachment and abhorrence become feeble and ineffective. Not only that, but there is natural and spontaneous forgiveness for one’s adversary. Inner peace is absence of anger, pride, deceit, greed, attachment and abhorrence, but the bliss of the Self is a state for which there are no words. It is the nectar of pure being-ness. One simply has to come into this state and follow the Gnani’s directives.

Spirituality

There are many religions in the world but what is spirituality? How can you achieve the level of spirituality attained by an enlightened Omniscient?

It is said that although the enlightened ones are many and from various religious paths but the spiritual knowledge they have is the same and during their physical presence, they are able to impart this knowledge to anyone seeking it. Their message is also the same; they have said that the path of true spirituality is to know your own Soul , knowing this leads to ultimate liberation.

The journey on the true spiritual path begins only after you come to know your real Self and achieve the awareness of a separation between your real Self and your relative self, also know as the non-self. This process is called Self RealizationUpon Self-realization, you are awakened to your real self, which is the soul with in you. Thereafter, you become only the observer and the perceiver of everything that is around you and within you. You become the observer of your non-self. The mind, speech, body, actions etc., belong to the non-self and therefore you simply remain as the observer of all that is the non-self. This results in spiritual bliss and this experience remains throughout your life.

The spiritual science of Akram Vignan allows you to achieve spirituality and experience inner bliss, peace and eternal happiness in this very life. This experience leads to the absolute and ultimate liberation.

Self-realization cannot be acquired from books or listening to any spiritual discourses. It is only acquired firsthand through a direct meeting with an enlightened person. Only a burning lamp can alight other lamps. Scriptures have limitations. It can give you an illustration of a burning lamp, but you cannot light your lamp from that illustration.

Spirituality means to experience and become one with your own Soul. Experience of the Soul transcends laws of karma and hence there is no more karma bondage. Only the pending karmas awaiting discharge remain, and that too for your relative self, not for your real Self.

Spirituality is to realize and experience both spiritual reality as well as worldly reality; it is to know, recognize and understand all the eternal elements......
